Support for victims of sexual violence
Tukinainen is a national victim support centre that provides support and guidance for people who have been sexually assaulted or abused and for their families. In addition, it provides cooperation, consultation, and training for professionals, authorities, organisations, and educational institutions in various fields.

The Seri support centre is a support unit for those who have experienced sexual violence for everyone over the age of 16, regardless of gender. The support centre is a low-threshold unit. You can go to the support centre by yourself, with your friends and relatives, or under the guidance of an authority.
If you have been sexually abused, e.g. raped, it is important to contact the Seri support centre as soon as possible after the incident.
Reporting a crime is not a condition for applying to the support centre, although reporting is encouraged.
The Seri support centre provides forensic investigation, trauma support, psychological counselling, and therapy for victims of sexual violence. A multi-professional team works in the Seri support centre: doctors, on-call doctors, midwives, psychologists and social workers.

Pro-tukipiste’s low-threshold health and support services are available to anyone aged 18 or over who sells sexual services, engages in transactional sex, or works in the erotic industry. Pro-tukipiste also supports people working in the commercial sex industry who have become victims of human trafficking. The services are available to everyone regardless of their life situation, gender, sexual identity, nationality, or background. All services are free of charge and confidential. You can also remain anonymous if you wish. All support and services are based on cooperation, and you decide how you want to proceed with your situation.
Pro-tukipiste’s services are available in the Helsinki, Tampere, and Turku areas, as well as nationwide online and by phone.
The drop-in meeting places are open without an appointment (please check the Pro-tukipiste service calendar for exceptions to opening hours):
- Helsinki on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00–16:00
- Tampere on Thursdays from 15:00–19:00
- Turku on Tuesdays from 14:00–18:00
On other weekdays, services are available by appointment.
