AinoAid’s development is based on scientific research and professional expertise related to domestic and interpersonal violence, help-seeking behaviour, digital support, and human–AI interaction. The service has been developed in close collaboration with professionals working in the field and people with lived experience.
Research and professional knowledge inform both AinoAid’s knowledge base and the principles guiding its AI-supported interaction. Lived-experience perspectives help ensure that the service responds to real needs and provides accessible information and support at an appropriate stage of the help-seeking process.

AinoAid™ can be used in research exploring topics such as help-seeking behaviour, digital support, human–AI interaction and access to appropriate services.
Subject to applicable ethical, legal and data-protection requirements and user consent where required, anonymised and aggregated data generated through AinoAid™ can provide insights into information and support needs, topics people seek help with, and how digital support is used.
We are interested in research evaluating the usability, accessibility, and potential impact of AinoAid, including how low-threshold digital support can facilitate earlier access to information and appropriate human support.
